How-To Make Cocktails with Special Ice Cubes


Chef Sasha Sincic teaches you how to make basil and cucumber-infused ice cubes to take your cocktail to the next level. Flavored ice cubes are a great way to easily infuse your drinks with added flavor to make them more unique. All you need is basil, cucumber, and a silicone ice tray.

  1. Heat 4 cups of water in a sauce pot to a boil
  2. Add basil leaves and edible flower of choice and let steep
  3. Cool mixture for 20 minutes, or place in the fridge to cool faster
  4. Strain out basil and flowers
  5. Pour cooled mixture into Sicilian ice mold, place a basil leaf or dried flower in each cube and freeze for 4 hours or overnight.
