How-To Teach Your Dog the Down Command

CRAFT

Getting your dog to obey a command is more than just getting them to follow your words. In this How-To, Dog Trainer Rachel Sample shows you the proper way to teach your dog the "down" command. For this training exercise, you'll want to use training treats. You'll use them to complete the first step which is using a treat in your hand to lead your dog into a down position. You'll want to practice this a few times using training treats as rewards. To learn the rest of the process, check out Rachel's How-To.
