In this class, Movement Therapy Guide Shahada Karim teaches you three yoga stretches to help relieve tension in the lower back. Your body is designed to move and if you find yourself with back tension, it probably means you're not doing enough of what your body needs. This doesn't mean you have to workout every day to feel good (I mean, you could if you want) but if your schedule doesn't allow more than just a few minutes of free time a day, a few easy back stretches can help in the meantime. No prior yoga experience is needed for this class. Shahada will guide you through three stretches anyone can do and teach you more about the causes of lower back pain to better understand why movement is important. To get started, all you need is a yoga mat and comfortable clothing.


Shahada Karim is a Yoga Teacher and Movement Therapy Guide. Shahada’s self-imposed mission is to help every human she meets, fall in love with themselves. Over the past decade, she’s earned multiple certifications in Yoga, Ayurveda, Nutrition, and Fitness to help facilitate that mission. Previously she dedicated more than two decades to a career in Journalism and Communications.
